The multiple Medicare Advantage plan types available include: HMOs, PPOs and PFFS (Private Fee-for-Service) plans. Those meeting certain criteria may also purchase Special Needs Plans (SNPs). U.S. News & World Report awarded KelseyCare Advantage as the top-rated carrier in 2017 with 5/5 stars and SeniorCare (Cost) the runner’s up spot with 4.5/5 stars.
According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, in 2018, 2,632,035 residents enrolled in Original Medicare and 1,458,533 residents enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan.
