Within North Carolina, two large carriers, Humana and United Healthcare provide Medicare Advantage plans to a majority of the population. Specifically, these companies cover 31 percent and 34 percent of the state’s 19,871 Medicare Advantage enrollees, respectively.

But the highest-rated plan is from Coventry, having earned 4.5/5 stars according to U.S. News & World Report.
